Video Sequence: Tenth Video (Third Album) Video Length: 3:22 Video Shooting Time: 2 Days Video Filming Date(s): September 3-4th, 2001 Producer: Frances Lawrence Setting: This video shot at an Asian Bath House, is really one of the more "steamy" videos that Britney has done. When it comes to the setting of a bath house, which is the equivalent of a full fledged steam room, things really do heat up. There are also a few mirror scenes as well as balcony and corner scenes, all intended to help spice the video up a little bit, especially the very first mirror scene. Plot: Britney becomes a slave to the music, thus the title of the video. To show this very effectively, they show that nearly all the dancers as well as Britney are near dehydration and are searching for any form of moisture or water they can find. Many scenes go to portay this, such as the corner and "raining at the balcony" portions of the video, where they run at the first sign of possible humidity. Choreography: 15 dancers take to the camera in order to perform the same choreography as seen at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards. As told in the plot, these dancers as well as Britney were extremely tired and sweaty during these shoots. Accidents: Two in a row for this girl, who has evaded and came out of another Making of the Video flawlessly. Making the Video: This video, being the first off her new album, was selected to be one of the many that received the MTV Making the Video treatment, which we will have vidcaps from soon enough. Interesting Stuff: This video now is the only video that has been the second major performance of a song, because she performed the same song with the same choreography at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards. I don't think the python though would have liked the heat of the bath house this time. New Age Britney: This video now begins the third chapter in Britney's ever growing and popular career an artist that many of us love to listen to and watch perform. It also begins the distance away from the Pop genre in general with multiple types of music on the album itself. It will be interesting to see where Britney takes it from here. Next Video: The next video planned for Britney is "I'm Not a Girl (Not Yet a Woman)" which has already been filmed, as it was filmed shortly after this one. You better believe we'll be covering it too. |
